- As you probably can see, we are going to be focusing on our writing skills for a while. We are not going to start our next novel, A Christmas Carol, until Thanksgiving. So we are going to really target writing. The children have been working very hard on creating a topic bank, to build their stories from. They will keep these banks in their binders and refer to them when writers block looms. We are also going to be adding more vocabulary words to our weekly list. These also, will be added and kept in the binders. The students will still be reading though, and will have a book report due the first Friday of November. Remember, two AR books are required for this nine weeks. Most students already have that and more, but there are some that still need to reminded (they know who they are). I again want to thank all the parents for their support so far this year. It has been great. You have been especially patient with all the hiccups in Power School and the AR program. Thank you! Remember, you can contact me by email at anytime.
