The TCAPs are coming, the TCAPs are coming!  Tuesday to Friday will be the days on which the tests will be given.  I have already spoken to my classes about how to prepare physically and mentally for the tests.  Having plenty of sleep is vital.  Having something to eat in the morning is also essential to feeling good and doing well on the tests.  I know my students pretty well.  They will make their parents, their teachers, and most importantly, themselves proud.  See you Monday!!

PS Dear students,

I got my computer back but Power Grade needs to be reloaded.  In other words I cannot post grades yet.  Some of you may be jumping up and down with pure delight.  I have contacted Mrs. Jarrett and the program will be reinstalled Monday (hopefully). I apologize for the delay in posting grades.

We are going to study Northern Europe this week and part of next week. This area is near and dear to me since I lived there for five years. I thought that I would bring in pictures that I had taken while traveling around one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Being a degreed History nut, I was in my element climbing around castles, bogs, and archaeological sites. I have pictures from England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. While going through my pictures I also found ones that I had taken throughout Europe and the Mediterranean area. We studied these countries for the last two weeks, so it will be a little review with a personal perspective.

We are also going to have time this week to work on our travel brochures. Remember, this little project is not to take away from your science project. Your Social Studies project can be done at school.
